Former Manchester City player Jeff Whitley was on loan from Cardiff City to Stoke, but his deal was axed before it was due to expire. Jeff is supposed to be staying in contact with the club but chairman Peter Ridsdale has revealed that Cardiff do not know where he is!

In the South Wales Echo Ridsdale said "We've called Jeff Whitley's mobile and left messages but he hasn't called back and we don't know where he is, we want to speak to him urgently."

While Whitley's contract is with Cardiff (until summer 2007) the club have been trying to find him another club, but he is in fact eligible to move to another club under the emergency loan rule.
